I am Joycelyn, a registered and certified counsellor and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience. I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety and unresolved trauma, supporting them in emotional regulation and interpersonal relationship.

I offer personalized and evidence-based therapy in a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative, and supportive space. Together, we can explore your triggers, rebuild your sense of self, and regain control of your emotions. For younger clients, I use expressive techniques to teach coping strategies.

Through the holistic approach of EMDR therapy, along with other modalities as necessary, we can resolve and integrate your emotions, beliefs, and physical sensations related to negative experiences that may be impacting your life.

I had the worst anxiety in January 2024 due to an extremely toxic work environment, to the point I felt trapped and going to work was terrifying. On top of that, I was shown a pic of a dead body at the foot of my block by a neighbor. I was struggling so badly. I cried at meal times and cried a whole lot. Felt very, very helpless. My daughter researched and found Joycelyn's profile. That first complimentary phone call I had with Joycelyn was that of comforting and calming. Even though it was supposed to be a 15-minute chat, she gave me time to let me pour my heart out of all that I was facing back then. I felt comfortable with Joycelyn and went ahead to make an appointment for a face-to-face session. The very first time I met Joycelyn, I cried so much. I have never cried in front of anyone, let alone a stranger (back then). Joycelyn has a very calming demeanor in her. Her voice is comforting and reassuring. While I served my notice at the toxic workplace, I continued to have my weekly session with Joycelyn. That helps so much. The situation around me gradually got better once I was out of that toxic work environment. I still continue to have my sessions with Joycelyn every month now. Apart from the fear and anxiety in the different aspects of life, I also share with Joycelyn my joy and my happiness, how I handle situations in my current new workplace.
